All Tripura Blind Association Submits Nine-Point Demand to Education Secretary

Agartala: Sept 11: On Wednesday, a delegation from the All Tripura Blind Association submitted a nine-point demand to the Principal Secretary of the Education Department. The delegation visited the Secretariat to press for their demands.

Mithun Saha, the General Secretary of the All Tripura Blind Association, addressed the media, stating that the nine-point demand aims to safeguard the interests of the visually impaired. Key demands include the strict implementation of the Persons with Disabilities Act in matters of recruitment and promotion, and the appointment of a visually impaired officer in both the School Education Department and the Higher Education Department. Saha emphasized that these demands have been long-standing and urged the authorities to take necessary steps to fulfill them promptly.
