All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati is a public medical College and hospital which is located in Changsari, Kamrup District of Assam. The foundation stone of the Institution was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi on 26th May, 2017. The Institution was also inaugurated on 14th April, 2023 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Modi.
Prof. Dr. Ashok Puranik has been appointed as the Executive Director of AIIMS, Guwahati on 10th July, 2022. Earlier he was in Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur. He was commissioned in the Indian Army as a Medical Officer in 1985.
The distance of the hospital from Paltanbazar Railway Station is 23 Kms. and from Guwahati Airport it is 28 Kms. Only. The cab rate from Paltan Bazar Railway Station is Rs. 550/- and from Airport Rs.700/- approximately.
This hospital has already started the Telemedicine facilities for various segments. OPD is also started with 150 patients per day at present. Services for Day Care, Pharmacy, Laboratory facilities, Radiological Investigations are also available.
For Telemedicine & consultation charges are free. For investigation they are taking very nominal charges, among patients those who have ‘Ayushman Card’ they will get totally free treatment facility here.

The Institute maximum of its department will fully start within a month according to their report. Not only the people of the Assam, but the whole North-East states the ‘Seven Sisters’ will be very much benefited from the specialty/super specialty health care facilities of AIIMS, Guwahati.
