Agartala to Get New Civil Hospital: State Government Takes Initiative

Agartala, , May 30: In a significant move to enhance healthcare services, the state government of Tripura has announced plans to establish a new civil hospital in Agartala. The Agartala Municipal Corporation will oversee the management of this upcoming medical facility. Health Secretary Kiran Gitte made this announcement during a visit to the old Municipal Corporation office located in Kansarighat today.

Accompanied by Mayor Deepak Majumdar, Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, and other officials, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte addressed reporters during the visit. He highlighted the growing patient load at the state’s existing referral hospitals, GB and IGM. In response to this surge in demand, the government aims to set up an additional hospital within the city limits.

Tripura Governor Adopts Fuel Conservation Measure

The responsibility for overseeing the new hospital’s operations will fall squarely on the Agartala Municipal Corporation. Health Secretary Kiran Gitte expressed optimism that if all goes well, the hospital will be operational in the coming days, providing much-needed healthcare services to the residents of Agartala.
