A team arrived in state to arrange the resettlement of Reang refugees

Agartala January 13: Arrangements have been made to resettle Reang refugees in different parts of the state. Rehabilitation has already been done at 11 places. The latest rehabilitation center is being constructed in Shantirbazar subdivision. 30 hectares of land has been earmarked in Mohakumar Laugangsam ADC Village. Houses will be constructed by the government for the residence of 633 families in this area.

At present everyone has started coming to their designated place in Shantirbazar Laugangsam ADC Village. From now on everyone will get all kinds of government support. On Friday night, 54 people came to this camp in the first phase. They will take care of all kinds of work from here. Later, when all the works are completed, 633 families will come and live in this area. On Friday night, 54 people were formally inducted at the office of Shantir Bazar Sub-division Magistrate. Jolaibari Assembly Constituency MLA and Minister Shuklacharan Noyatia, Shantir Bazar Assembly Constituency MLA Pramod Reang, Shantirbazar Sub Divisional Ruler Dr G Sarath Nayak, Avedanand Vaidya and others were present.
