Agartala October 18: Around 30,000 new social allowances will be given under the Chief Minister’s Social Scheme in the state. Applications have been submitted for this. That money will be launched very soon after Scutini. Social Welfare and Social Education Department Minister Tinku Roy made the announcement at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

He said that 334 Anganwadi workers have been appointed so far after the establishment of the new government. Besides, 176 Anganwadi helpers have been appointed. And among the Anganwadi workers who have been serving for a long time, 100 educated people have been promoted to the post of supervisors. He also said that the government is working in a mission mode in providing social allowances to Divyangans. If a Divyangan is not getting Social Allowance, Divyangan Allowance is arranged for that person within five to seven days as soon as it comes to the notice of the government. Already 2036 HIV patients have received the allowance. In the last three months, 83 more HIV patients have been given allowance. 2865 cancer patients are getting social allowance. After the new government came in, 270 cancer patients have been given allowances.

HIV and cancer patients will get allowance for as long as they live. Apart from this, arrangements have been made to pay four thousand rupees per month to children who have no father, but are poor, and keep them in homes. The minister said that a 200-bed youth hostel is being built in Ambassa. The work is almost finished. Chief Minister will inaugurate it. The minister said that a new basket court has been launched in NSRCC. This year’s budget has approved the construction of youth homes in Udaipur and Unakoti districts. Talking about the Labor Department, Minister Tinku Roy said that 2000 tea worker families have already been given land under the tea worker welfare scheme. The EPF money has been returned to the tea garden workers by camping in different tea gardens. So far this work has been done about 90 percent, said the minister. The department has arranged to give bonus to the workers of each tea garden. Construction of ESI Hospital in Bodhjungnagar will start soon. The Labor Department has plans to build some labor sheds. The minister said that these will be made so that the workers who come for treatment in GB can stay. Also, various issues come up in the words of the minister.
