Agartala, March 13: The Tripura state government has embarked on a determined mission to empower its unemployed population, fostering self-reliance and economic independence. Tourism and Food & Public Distribution Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury, recently announced significant strides in this direction.
The government has acquired land for the construction of a modern double-storey market stall complex in Mohanpur Bazar. This ambitious project, estimated at 16 crore rupees, will house 84 stalls. The market complex aims to provide a conducive environment for traders to conduct their businesses effectively. The stalls are thoughtfully designed to enhance aesthetics and functionality.
On Wednesday, the foundation stone for the stalls was ceremoniously laid, marking a crucial milestone in Tripura’s urban and rural development initiatives.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury emphasized that this endeavor fulfills a long-standing demand of traders in Mohanpur Bazar. Prior to the last assembly elections, he had pledged to create a state-of-the-art market complex, and the foundation stone laying ceremony is a step toward honoring that commitment.
The BJP-led state government remains committed to uplifting its citizens. Minister Chowdhury highlighted various ongoing development projects during his speech, underscoring the administration’s dedication to progress.
