Agartala, February 27: In a significant development, the “Aastha Special” train embarked on its journey from the Agartala railway station in Tripura, carrying pilgrims bound for Ayodhya to seek blessings at the revered shrine of Lord Ram.
The ceremonial flag-off was conducted by Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday morning. Expressing his gratitude, the Chief Minister acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for facilitating this special train service exclusively for the people of Tripura.
In his address, the Chief Minister assured that the state government remains steadfast in its commitment to extend all possible assistance to the pilgrims during their spiritual voyage.
Approximately 1,600 pilgrims from Tripura are aboard the train, which is scheduled to arrive in Ayodhya on Wednesday morning.
This marks the third instance of an “Aastha Special” train being dispatched from Tripura in the past two months. The earlier two trains were flagged off on January 31 and February 21.
The Indian Railways’ initiative to provide specialized train services for pilgrims visiting religious sites across the country continues to facilitate seamless travel experiences for devotees.
