Agartala, January 11: 41 modern Loghuts have been constructed and commissioned to attract tourists in the state. 10 more loghats will be launched very soon. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this in a written reply to a question of MLA Mylayu Mog during the question and answer session of the Legislative Assembly today.
Tourism Minister said that the state government has taken extensive initiatives to attract tourists to the state. As part of this initiative, a weekend tourist hub in front of the Ujjayanta Palace, a light and sound show at the palace along with keeping the museum open for 365 days have been launched. Construction of helipad at Narkelkunja, launch of water scooters/jetskis at Dambur reservoir, paragliding services launched. Besides, State Institute of Hotel Management has been constructed. Online booking service has been launched. A multifaceted plan has been adopted for the development of Mata Tripurasundari Temple through Prasad Project.
Tourism Minister said that with the aim of developing advanced tourist centers and increasing the attraction of tourists towards the tourist centers, a plan has been taken to beautify tourist centers like Unakoti, Chhabimura, Kamalasagar, Chaturdas Devata Mandir etc. with the financial support of Asian Development Bank in the financial year 2022-23. Swadesh Darshan 2.0 project has taken up various plans to beautify Unakoti and Agartala destinations.
