According to the details of the incident, Karmati Tripura, a resident of Abangchara ADC village of Jolaibari assembly constituency, passed away leaving behind a 10-day-old baby. As soon as the news spread, the Union Minister and others stood by the family members. The Union Minister came to attend a program in Jolaibari and learned this. After hearing the news, his program was completed and the helpless mother went to the side of the lost child.

Today, Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik along with local MLA and Minister Shuklacharan Noyatia, Shantir Bazar Assembly Constituency MLA Pramod Reang, Manu Assembly Constituency MLA Mylafru Mug stood next to the child. Pratima Bhoumik and others promised all kinds of help so that there is no difficulty in raising the child.

While visiting the motherless child today, Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik said that the child’s mother was suffering from illness for a long time. The people of the area extended a helping hand to provide him treatment. Despite getting all kinds of help, Karamati Tripura finally succumbed to death. Meanwhile, some people in the opposition camp are spreading misinformation saying that the child has been sold which is completely baseless. At present the child is at home.

On this day, he also said that some workers of CPIM are continuing to spread propaganda by destroying the peace of the area, thinking that there will be no support for CPIM in the Lok Sabha elections.
