Agartala December 10: Attacked democracy, endangered human rights: come forward to protect the country and the constitution. In this call Tripura Human Rights Organization. On behalf of the organization, a procession was organized from Orient Chaumuhni to Agartala city. Purushottam Roy Barman, one of the leaders of Tripura Human Rights Organization, was present in the procession.

He addressed the media and said that the International Human Rights Day is being celebrated today in a terrible situation. Because the country does not have the right to speak, the right to express opinions, the right to assembly and the right to livelihood are endangered. He also said that if you oppose the government, the country is accusing you of treason and putting you in jail with the help of black laws, same situation in Tripura state. There is no opportunity to protect human rights at all. Violence against women and children, including murder, is on the rise. But the sad thing is that Human Rights Commission of Tripura, Women’s Commission is not performing any important duty in that regard. But the Human Rights Commission criticized the government for not taking an effective role in protecting human rights in the state. He also said that today everyone should come forward to protect democracy, secularism and human rights. Purushottam Roy Barman urged everyone to protect the country and nation in this dangerous situation.
