Agartala October 7: Border guards and state administration fail to cover human trafficking failure. Illegal entry into India continues despite the presence of barbed wire on the border, avoiding the BSF’s attention. This border is being used as a corridor for all goods or human trafficking from Bangladesh.
Naturally, questions began to arise about internal security measures. Four Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from the house of Ashish Majumder, an old matai of Hrishyamukh Block, on Friday late night. At the same time, the owner of the house, Ashish Majumdar, was arrested. According to sources, Ashish has built a human trafficking empire across the Belonia sub-division with dust in the eyes of the border guards. The four Bangladeshis were detained and interrogated from the house of human trafficker Shyamal Majumder in a joint operation of Border Guard Force No. 109 and Hrishyamukh out post. It was found that they did not have any valid documents. The four Bangladeshis arrested from Rishyamukh police outpost along with the owner of the house Ashish Majumdar were handed over to Bilonia police station. They came to India from Bangladesh to go to Surat in Gujarat, the police found out during the preliminary investigation.
