Tripura Rubber Workers Union State Committee demanded increase in wages of rubber workers, reinstatement of retrenched workers, appointment of rubber workers in government jobs. Various rubber plantations under TFDPC have been illegally encroached upon.

He also criticized the government and said that the price of rubber is decreasing day by day. The government expressed the opinion that it is necessary to give importance to this.
