Confusion about 10323 teachers, High Court judge gave clarification

Agartala: June 22: The Tripura High Court has not issued orders regarding the reinstatement and reinstatement of 10323 dismissed teachers. High Court Justice T Amarnath Gaur gave clarification. Besides, the Tripura government recommended a police investigation to spread confusion about the court verdict.

Incidentally, three dismissed teachers had filed a writ petition in the High Court in 2021. Case No. WP(C) 334 of 2021. Justice T Amarnath Gaur gave the verdict on May 3 after the hearing in that case. Confusion spread in the public mind of 10323 dismissed teachers around that verdict. Misinterpretation of the judge’s verdict led to public confusion. As a result, the Tripura government filed a review petition in the court seeking clarification of the judgment. Justice T Amarnath Gaur clarified the judgment. Tripura Government’s Advocate General Siddharth Shankar Dey informed the Education Secretary of Tripura Government about the clarification of the judge on the orders of the High Court.

 

Justice Shri Gaur clarified that the verdict in that case last May 3 is not applicable to everyone. The judgment will apply only to the three litigants Pradeep Debbarma, Moynal Hussain and Kanai Lal Das. He also said that the court did not grant the writ petition or even give any direction for the reinstatement and reinstatement of 10323 dismissed teachers not only that, the writ petitioners also did not direct any re-appointment. Besides, he recommended that the Tripura government should conduct a police investigation if it wants to spread confusion in the public mind about the court verdict.

 

This clarification of the High Court Justice Shri Gowda is considered to have cleared the confusion regarding the reinstatement and retention of 10,323 dismissed teachers.
