While addressing a mega rally of BJP at Santirbazar HS School in South District in presence of BJP national president JP Nadda, that was organised to celebrate the Nine Years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Dr Saha said that the nine-year tenure of PM Modi has proven to be a notable chapter in the history of the country, with the entire nation experiencing a transformative period of development and growth.

“The impact of this era is so significant that it will forever be known as the “pre-Modi era” and the “Modi era,” symbolizing the positive and far-reaching changes that have taken place. One of the most remarkable aspects of this period has been the focused attention given to the long-neglected Northeast region”, said Dr Saha.

He further said that NE which was neglected for many decades, witnessing a wave of development in every aspect, including rail, air, and highways, the region has experienced an unprecedented transformation in the last nine years of PM Modi.

“Infrastructure projects have flourished, connecting remote areas and boosting connectivity, thereby enhancing opportunities for economic growth and social progress. Because of PM Modi in the last nine years our state has also witnessed massive development”, the CM said.

Highlighting some significant achievements in Tripura under leadership of PM Modi, the CM said under PM Kisan Yojona over 2 lakh farmers received Rs 6000 financial assistance resulting in an increase in their yearly income to more than Rs 13,000.

“Additionally, the PM Fasal Bima Yojana has successfully covered around 10 lakh farmers, providing them with crucial insurance coverage. Over 3 lakh farmers have benefited from loans through the Kisan Credit Card scheme, while the distribution of more than 13 lakh Ayushman Cards has ensured accessible healthcare for countless individuals”, said CM.

He further said that the empowerment of women and children has been a key focus of the government.

“By reserving 33% of government jobs for women, a significant step has been taken towards gender equality and inclusivity. The distribution of over 1 lakh bicycles to girl students has not only facilitated their education but also promoted their overall well-being. Additionally, over 4 lakh families have been connected with the Jal Jeevan Mission, ensuring access to clean water and improving living conditions. As the nation basks in the glory of these achievements, it is evident that the transformative leadership of PM Modi has steered India towards a brighter and more prosperous future. The positive impact of the Modi era will be remembered in history as a time when the country witnessed unprecedented development, welfare, and an inclusive approach to nation-building”, added CM.

During his address to the gathering, BJP National President JP Nadda wholeheartedly praised the exemplary efforts of Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha in spearheading the state’s development and tirelessly working for the welfare of its people.

Nadda highlighted the remarkable transformation witnessed in Tripura under Dr. Manik Saha’s leadership, emphasizing the substantial progress made in infrastructure development.

“Once a time when merely 12km of national highways were built in a day, Tripura now boasts an impressive 29km per day. In the last nine years alone a staggering 54,000km of national highways have been constructed nationwide with Tripura contributing around 300km in the last six years”, said Nadda.

Furthermore, Nadda mentioned the invaluable contributions of Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who presented the gift of the Agartala-Sabroom national highway, while six more national highways are currently under construction. These developments not only enhance connectivity but also shorten travel time from Agartala to Kolkata through the completion of the Agartala-Akahura Railway link.

“People of Tripura have seen how CPIM ruled the state but now people are witnessing how Chief Miniser Dr Manik Saha under the leadership of PM Modi is working and for this Tripura is progressing in a very fast way in terms of development”, Nadda added.
