Agartala: Apr 22: Targeting the 2024 Parliamentary election, BJP Tripura on Saturday launched ’Booth Sashaktikaran Abhiyan’ programme with the state level organisational strengthening training camp to boost the party’s preparedness at the booth level before the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
The booth sashaktikaran abhiyan prasikshan or booth strengthening drive is being held at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan with Dr Asha Lakra, Mayor of Ranchi and BJP national secretary in attendance alongwith Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, BJP state president Rajiv Bhattacharjee, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Devvarma, union minister of state for Social Empowerment and Justice Pratima Bhoumik among others.
All senior leaders of the saffron party joined the meeting from 60 assembly segments of the state.
Each MLA has selected 25 weakest booths in their constituency and a MP will select 100 such weak booths from 30 assembly constituencies along with 30 members representing each constituency and from them five members had participated in today’s booth strengthening training.
The programme will continue for ten days and during which on a regular basis BJP leaders shall be visiting the booths across the state and interact with the public and local leadership to discuss the implementation of central and state schemes for development and also known about the local issues.
The meeting is expected to build coordination between MLAs and MPs, identify and work on weak areas in their constituencies and selected a set of weakest booths in every constituency to specially focus attention on them.
