Agartala, September 11: Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Saturday reviewed the ongoing construction of a modern motor stand at Jolaibari in South Tripura and directed officials to ensure the project progresses smoothly and is completed on time.
During his inspection, Chowdhury assessed the progress and quality of construction at the site. Jolaibari MLA Pramod Reang, senior Transport Department officials and local public representatives were present.
The Minister held discussions with officials regarding the project’s implementation and took note of issues that could delay the work. He instructed the authorities to address such concerns promptly and maintain the prescribed construction standards.
The upcoming facility is expected to improve the local transport system by providing a dedicated and better-organised space for passenger services. It will also include improved amenities aimed at making commuting more convenient for residents.
Chowdhury said better transport infrastructure at the local level can contribute to smoother public movement and improved connectivity for people in the area.
He stressed that the remaining construction work should be closely monitored and completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The Minister said the new motor stand, once operational, would provide passengers with a more convenient and comfortable transit facility and benefit the wider community of Jolaibari.
