AGARTALA, SEPTEMBER 8: The BJP will launch a month-long nationwide mobilisation drive aimed at encouraging its workers to strengthen public contact and carry the party’s service-oriented activities to the grassroots, national general secretary and MP Biplab Kumar Deb said on Tuesday.

Deb made the announcement at the BJP state headquarters in Agartala, where he outlined the organisational objectives of ‘Seva Sankalp’ and called upon party workers to maintain regular engagement with people in their respective areas.

The campaign is expected to bring local-level workers into closer coordination with senior party leaders. Specific responsibilities have been allocated for the programme, while state and central organisational mechanisms will track its implementation, party leaders said.

The announcement followed a two-day seminar held at the BJP headquarters, during which workers were briefed about the campaign’s objectives and the proposed method of execution. Deb said the party had completed the necessary preparations after discussions among its organisational functionaries.

According to the BJP leader, the campaign will place emphasis on understanding issues faced by people at the local level. Workers have been asked to maintain direct communication with citizens and use their grassroots experience to improve the party’s engagement with communities.

Deb also invoked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political journey while highlighting the importance of organisational experience. He said Modi’s long association with the party organisation before becoming prime minister demonstrated the value of working at the grassroots.

“When a worker rises from the booth level to the top, he carries with him a direct understanding of grassroots realities. That experience becomes invaluable for the entire organization,” Deb said.

He urged workers to approach ‘Seva Sankalp’ as an ongoing responsibility rather than a campaign limited to public meetings or organisational programmes. Regular interaction, he said, would help party workers remain connected with local concerns.

The initiative will be coordinated at different organisational levels, with designated leaders overseeing activities in their areas. Senior leaders will subsequently assess the progress made during the month-long programme.

Deb expressed confidence that the nationwide participation of BJP workers would strengthen organisational coordination and generate renewed enthusiasm among the cadre.

The BJP has described ‘Seva Sankalp’ as an initiative combining public service, worker participation and organisational outreach, with activities planned across states during the campaign period.
