Agartala, August 26: Tripura will observe a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17 as part of a nationwide programme marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and highlighting his 25 years of public service.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired a preparatory meeting at the State Guest House on Wednesday to review arrangements for the campaign and discuss programmes planned across the state.
BJP Tripura Pradesh President Abhishek Debroy, ministers and senior party leaders, along with representatives from the state, district and mandal levels, attended the meeting. The participants discussed the proposed activities and measures required to ensure their effective implementation.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Chief Minister Manik Saha said the state government and the BJP organisation have jointly planned around 25 programmes during the month-long campaign.
He said the preparatory meeting was convened to finalise the programme schedule, coordinate arrangements at different levels and ensure that the campaign reaches people across the state.
The Chief Minister said the initiative would be organised as part of the wider nationwide programme commemorating Prime Minister Modi’s birthday. The campaign will focus on activities reflecting the theme of public service and social commitment.
The month-long observance is expected to involve participation from government representatives, BJP workers and local-level functionaries across Tripura. Detailed programmes are being planned at the state, district and mandal levels to ensure wider public participation.
The meeting also emphasised coordination between the government and the party organisation for the smooth conduct of the activities. Senior leaders reviewed preparations and discussed responsibilities for implementing the programmes during the campaign period.
The September 17-October 17 observance will provide the state BJP and government machinery with an extended platform to undertake public-oriented programmes and highlight initiatives linked to service and social welfare.
With around 25 activities planned, the campaign is expected to cover different parts of Tripura over the month. Further details of individual programmes and their schedules are likely to be finalised as preparations progress.
The initiative comes as the BJP organisation in Tripura continues to strengthen its grassroots outreach through public programmes and organisational activities.
The Chief Minister said all concerned departments and party units would work in coordination to ensure the successful implementation of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ across the state.
