Tripura Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahabhiyan 2026 has been launched with the objective of developing skilled, disciplined, and dedicated party workers capable of strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level.

Addressing a Mandal-level training programme organised by the BJP Rajnagar Mandal under the campaign, the minister highlighted the crucial role of committed workers in expanding the party’s reach and promoting its ideology among the masses.

Chowdhury said that dedicated party workers have always remained the backbone of the organisation and played a significant role in the BJP’s growth over the years. Reflecting on the party’s evolution, he stated that from the era of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh to the BJP’s present standing as a major political force, workers who prioritised national interest above personal considerations have contributed immensely to strengthening and expanding the party structure.

The minister stressed that political organisations become stronger when workers are ideologically driven and maintain close contact with the people at the grassroots level. He noted that the training initiative seeks to equip party members with better understanding, communication skills, and organisational capabilities for future responsibilities.

During his address, Chowdhury also spoke about various welfare schemes and developmental initiatives undertaken by both the Central government and the Tripura government. He emphasised the importance of ensuring that people are made aware of these schemes so that intended beneficiaries can avail themselves of the facilities and support provided by the government.

The minister further elaborated on the philosophy of Antyodaya, a concept propounded by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay that focuses on the upliftment of the last person in society. He said the ideology stresses inclusive growth and urges workers to serve people with sincerity and commitment.

According to Chowdhury, party workers should adopt the principle of public service with responsibility and dedication while taking government initiatives to every household.

The training programme forms part of BJP’s broader organisational effort to deepen ideological understanding, improve leadership skills, and further strengthen its grassroots network ahead of future political engagements.
