Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress has entered a new phase of leadership following the completion of its organisational elections, with Neel Kamal Saha securing re-election as president of the youth wing.
Alongside him, Rakesh Das has been elected Senior Vice President, while Rahul Sutradhar will serve as Vice President. The newly elected leadership team is expected to guide the organisation in strengthening its grassroots presence and mobilising youth support across the state.
The official notification confirming the appointments was issued by Uday Bhanu Chib, who expressed confidence that the newly elected leaders would work with dedication to strengthen the organisation under the guidance of senior Congress leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Congratulating the newly elected office-bearers, Ashish Kumar Saha said the fresh leadership would play an important role in uniting the youth of Tripura and strengthening the political movement of the Congress in the state.
“I firmly believe that under their leadership, the Pradesh Youth Congress will emerge stronger and provide a new direction to the youth of Tripura,” Ashish Kumar Saha said in his message.
The outcome of the organisational elections is being viewed as a renewed mandate for young leadership within the Congress party in Tripura. Political observers believe the new team will focus on energising party workers, sharpening political outreach and reconnecting with young voters ahead of future electoral contests.
Party insiders also indicated that the leadership intends to strengthen district and block-level activities while increasing engagement on issues affecting students, unemployed youth and rural communities.
With Neel Kamal Saha returning as president, expectations are high that the Youth Congress will adopt a more active and assertive role in Tripura politics, aiming to expand the Congress party’s influence and strengthen its organisational structure across the state.
