Kulai–Champahour, Tripura — In a notable political development reflecting shifting grassroots dynamics, 33 voters from 12 families in Kulai Gantachera VC and NG Para under Bagmara VC have formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The individuals, previously associated with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) and the Tipra Motha Party (TMP), cited development-oriented governance and growing trust in BJP leadership as key reasons for their shift.
The transition has been facilitated under the leadership of Shri Khupso Halam and Shri Bhim Singh Jamatia, whose consistent engagement at the grassroots level has helped build strong connections with local communities. Their emphasis on accessibility, responsiveness, and community-driven initiatives has played a pivotal role in inspiring confidence among residents.
Members of the newly joined families stated that visible progress in infrastructure, welfare schemes, and inclusive governance influenced their decision. They expressed optimism that under the current leadership, their concerns and aspirations would receive due attention, ensuring holistic development of the region.
Local BJP leaders welcomed the new entrants, describing the move as an indicator of changing public sentiment. They emphasized that people are increasingly aligning with governance models focused on accountability, stability, and long-term growth, moving away from what they termed as stagnant and divisive political approaches.
Reaffirming their commitment, party leaders assured that efforts would continue to strengthen development initiatives, empower local communities, and ensure effective implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level.
This development is expected to further consolidate the BJP’s position in the Kulai–Champahour Constituency, highlighting a growing wave of support driven by people-centric leadership and a focus on inclusive progress.
