Agartala March 10: Smoking causes cancer. A procession was organized from Rabindra Bhavan premises on Friday morning organized by CBCC and Red Cross Society to create awareness among all about cancer.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumdar along with entrepreneurs were present. The mayor said that the government has taken various public awareness initiatives to prevent complex diseases like cancer. Various organizations are coming forward in this program. The main objective of such public awareness initiative is to make everyone aware to prevent cancer. He also said that HPV infection is the cause of 95 percent cervical cancer. Informs to give vaccine and free the child from cervical cancer.
