Government jobs now based solely on performance: Ratan Lal Nath

Agartala: Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, who also holds charge of the Election Department, today handed over appointment letters to three newly recruited candidates who cleared all examinations conducted by the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).

The programme was held in the minister’s office chamber, where the parents of the candidates were also present to witness the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Minister said the government is firmly committed to providing employment opportunities through a fair, transparent and merit-based recruitment process.

He highlighted that the current administration has taken strong steps to ensure that jobs are awarded solely on the basis of qualification and performance, without any external influence.

The minister stressed that earlier day are gone when job seekers had to attend political rallies or visit party offices in hopes of securing employment.

“After out government formed now no one needs to run after anyone for a government job now. Hard work and merit are the only criteria,” he said.

Minister also congratulated the newly appointed candidates and encouraged them to serve with honesty and dedication.

He added that the government will continue opening new avenues for youth employment and strengthening the transparency of the selection system.

Parents of the candidates expressed their happiness and thanked the government for maintaining a corruption-free recruitment process.
