The Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) has issued a strong public advisory following a surge in fraudulent job offers being circulated under the corporation’s name. Officials have confirmed that miscreants are targeting unsuspecting job seekers by posting fake recruitment advertisements across various social media platforms and making deceptive phone calls promising employment opportunities in engineering and other departments of TSECL.

According to the corporation, these scams are part of a deliberate attempt to exploit the aspirations of youths seeking stable government employment. The fraudsters reportedly demand money in exchange for securing a job, misleading candidates with false assurances and fabricated documents.

A senior TSECL official clarified that the corporation has no connection with these activities and does not engage in any form of recruitment through unofficial channels. “We urge everyone not to fall prey to fraudulent phone calls or misleading job advertisements circulating on Facebook and other social media platforms. TSECL follows a transparent recruitment process, and any official notification is published only through authorized government portals,” the official emphasized.

Citizens have also been advised to verify any job-related information by directly contacting the nearest TSECL office. The corporation stressed that it will not be responsible for any loss or consequences faced by individuals who fall victim to such scams.

Highlighting the growing concern, TSECL appealed to the public to remain vigilant and immediately report suspicious calls, messages, or posts to the authorities. The corporation reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparency and protecting the interests of the public.

As cases of digital fraud continue to rise, TSECL’s cautionary message serves as an important reminder for job seekers to rely solely on official sources and avoid sharing personal or financial information with unknown individuals.
