Agartala: Feb 21: Due to the post-election violence in the state, the police administration of the state has to be accountable to the National Election Commission. To prevent post-election terrorism, State Election Commission Chief Officer Kiran Gitye and after the all-party meeting of all sub-divisional governors, Sadar Sub-division Police Officer is busy holding an all-party meeting to prevent terrorism.
On Tuesday, Sadar police officer Ajay Das personally invited the journalists and took them to the West police station. He is busy with all-party meetings. The top leadership of the political parties did not attend the meeting. On this day, the division held a formal meeting with the leaders of some youth organizations and branch organizations. And he discussed the overall aspect in this meeting. But the ground report says otherwise. Since the evening of the police administration, the post-election terrorism has been happening because of the lapses in patrolling. Various political parties in the state are trying to mislead the public opinion before the polls are over. Because the opinions of the leaders of those political parties have been voted, now it is the turn of the results. The people’s verdict is in the ballot box. Seeing their terror, the people will not be able to change even if they want to. The results will be published on March 2. People’s demand will continue only after the next five years of voting. Therefore, some political leaders are giving their lives to stop the momentum of other political parties by increasing post-election terrorism.
However, in this day’s meeting, apart from police officers of Sadar Sub-Division, OCs of various Police Stations and Women’s Police Stations were present. Sadar Mahakumar police officer claimed that the polling phase of the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly elections was completed peacefully. Currently Gandevtar Roy EVM is locked in strong room under tight security. The counting phase of 60 seats will start from the morning of March 2. The polling phase of the election was completed peacefully. Incidents of post-election terrorism have come to the fore in some places. He urged everyone to ensure that such incidents do not happen in Sadar subdivision. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ajay Kumar Das said that the police will take strict action if there is an attempt to destroy law and order in the area under Sadar Sub-Division. All political parties have given assurances in this regard. A meeting will be held on Wednesday with all the assembly candidates belonging to the Sadar division. Their views will be taken accordingly.
