New Delhi, Nov 14 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday described the BJP-led NDA’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections as a decisive mandate against the “jungle raj” and appeasement-driven politics practiced by the Mahagathbandhan (MGB) parties. Addressing a jubilant gathering of party workers and supporters at the BJP headquarters, the Prime Minister said the people of Bihar had endorsed development, stability, and progress through an overwhelming vote for the NDA.
Modi recalled that during the election campaign, he had appealed to the electorate for two things — record voter turnout and a strong mandate for the NDA. “The people of Bihar heard my request and blessed the NDA with an unprecedented mandate,” he said. He added that voters had chosen a developed and prosperous future, shattering previous turnout records and reaffirming their trust in the alliance.
“The people of Bihar have voted for a developed Bihar. The people of Bihar have voted for a prosperous Bihar,” he reiterated, highlighting that the historic turnout reflected the public’s strong desire for continued growth under the NDA government.
Taking aim at the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s traditional MY (Muslim-Yadav) support base, Modi said Bihar’s youth had introduced a new meaning to the formula. “The people of Bihar have given a new meaning to MY — Mahila and Youth. Their aspirations have completely defeated the old formula used by certain parties for political gain,” he remarked, sweeping aside the opposition’s caste-religion narrative.
The Prime Minister also praised NDA allies Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha, and Chirag Paswan for their significant contribution to the alliance’s commanding victory. He commended party booth workers and grassroots cadres for their tireless efforts, saying their dedication ensured a powerful mandate that will guide Bihar toward greater development and stability.
The landslide result, Modi said, reflects the public’s clear choice for governance over disorder and for inclusive progress over divisive politics.
