Agartala: May 19:Minister Ratan Lal Nath, along with other officials, participated in a virtual meeting today with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to discuss the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ initiative.
Following the meeting, Minister Nath stated that Union Minister Chouhan has officially launched the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ across the country. The initiative aims to equip farmers with advanced agricultural technology and enhanced knowledge of seeds. The campaign is scheduled to take place from May 29 to June 12.
Minister Nath further highlighted that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a nationwide effort is being undertaken to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). The agricultural sector is a key focus of this initiative, with efforts directed toward modernized farming, improved practices, and farmer prosperity. The campaign is designed to provide practical guidance on scientific farming methods, with each district-level team conducting three meetings daily. Special emphasis is being placed on agricultural modernization, research, and strengthening farmers’ capabilities.
The initiative aims to bring innovation and efficiency to India’s agricultural landscape while supporting farmers in adopting advanced techniques for sustainable growth.
