Agartala: Mar 18: The central budget has not allocated any benefits for workers. In protest, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) submitted a deputation addressed to the Union Finance Minister through district magistrates across the country. As part of this movement, the state committee leaders of BMS organized a protest march in the city today and handed over a memorandum of demands to the district magistrate.

A leader of the organization stated that no measures have been included for workers in the central budget. As a protest, the BMS has submitted deputations nationwide today, presenting six demands to the Union Finance Minister via district magistrates. Following the state committee’s directive, representatives aligned with all districts of the state handed over the memorandum to the district magistrate under the initiative of the West District Committee.

 

Among the key demands are an immediate halt to 100% foreign investment in the insurance sector and a ban on the sale of public assets.
