According to reports, on March 6, two individuals were tied up and beaten in Tulamura over a land dispute. While a case was registered, the Congress team, led by Nitya Gopal Das, visited Tulamura to investigate why the accused had not been arrested and were seen in public. Subsequently, the team, including Titon Pal, met at the Kakraban police station to discuss the matter and submit a deputation.

Titon Pal alleged that during their visit, eight BJP supporters, including Kakraban Mandal President Biswajit Sarkar, entered the police station and issued threats to the Congress leadership in the presence of police personnel. The threats reportedly included warnings against raising slogans critical of the BJP. As tensions escalated, the Congress leadership sought assistance from the Additional Superintendent of Police of Gomti district, who arranged for police security to escort the Congress members back to Udaipur.

Despite the security measures, Titon Pal claimed that large stones were thrown at the Congress leaders’ vehicle on their way back from Kakraban police station. The district Congress has expressed serious concern over the incident, emphasizing that such actions will not deter their movement. Congress leaders stated that public sentiment is shifting, and they remain optimistic about the growing strength of their movement in Udaipur, despite the challenges faced.
