National Voters day held at Raj Bhavan

Agartala: Jan 25: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu graced the National Voters’ Day celebration at Raj Bhavan, Agartala, this morning. The event was held to honor the importance of voting in India’s democratic process and to encourage new voters to exercise their electoral rights.

During the ceremony, Governor Nallu addressed the gathering, emphasizing that voting is a fundamental right of every citizen and a crucial responsibility in shaping the future of the nation. He encouraged the new voters to actively participate in elections, stressing that as the world’s largest democracy, India thrives on the participation of its citizens. The Governor also pointed out that those who choose to abstain from voting lose the right to discuss and critique the democratic system, underscoring the significance of being an engaged and responsible voter.

To mark the occasion, the Governor presented voter ID cards and rose flowers to the newly registered voters, symbolizing the importance of their role in the democratic process. The ceremony highlighted the commitment to ensuring that every eligible citizen has the opportunity to vote and contribute to the establishment of a government.

The event was also attended by Dr. Vishal Kumar, District Magistrate of West Tripura, and other officials. The celebration reinforced the message of democracy, encouraging citizens to actively participate in elections and take pride in their voting rights.
