34 voters from indigenous communities join Congress

Agartala: Jan 11: On this day, under the leadership of the Shantirbazar Block Congress, 34 voters from indigenous communities joined the Indian National Congress (INC). This significant event took place during a joining ceremony attended by several prominent leaders, including Pradesh Congress President Ashis Kumar Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, former minister Monindra Riang, District President Mridul Patari, Pradesh Congress General Secretary Milan Kora, Block Congress President Mrityunjay Riang, and Zilim Riang, along with other dignitaries.

During the ceremony, the Pradesh Congress President addressed the media, stating that the 34 voters from indigenous communities had left the Tipra Motha Party and other political parties to join the Indian National Congress. These individuals expressed their strong belief in the ideals and leadership of Congress, affirming their trust in the party’s vision for the future.

The inclusion of these new members reflects the growing support for the Congress party among the indigenous communities in the region. The joining of such a diverse group strengthens the party’s base and sends a message of unity and progress for the indigenous people, aligned with the principles of justice and equality that Congress stands for. This event marks a significant step in building the party’s presence in the region and fostering a sense of hope and empowerment among the indigenous population.
