Agartala: Dec 20: Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, stated on Friday that the 72nd Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC), chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will lay a new foundation for the rapid development of the region. Speaking to the media at Agartala’s MBB Airport, he emphasized that significant growth is expected in the northeastern states in the coming days, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Scindia highlighted that tomorrow’s NEC meeting will involve detailed discussions about the work carried out by the NEC over the past year and the various issues faced by the states in the region. He assured that the meeting would focus on key developmental areas, setting a direction for the future.
Furthermore, Scindia mentioned that Amit Shah would also chair a Banking Summit during his visit, aimed at revitalizing the economy of the northeastern region. The summit will involve representatives from both government and private banks, including their top officials.
