72nd Plenary Session of NEC: Traffic Department issued traffic guidelines

Agartala: Dec 20: The 72nd plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) will commence today in Agartala. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in the state this evening to attend the plenary session. In view of the plenary session, the Tripura Police Traffic Department has issued traffic guidelines for the city of Agartala for the next three days.

In a notification, the Traffic Department has made alternative routes available for emergency services vehicles. The alternative routes are: Narayanpur-Narsinghar-Ramnagar-Gandhigram Bazar-Shalbagan-Rubber Board-Chanmari; GB-Indranagar-Dhaleshwar Math Chaumuhani-Yogendranagar-Bypass; ADnagar-Battala-Fire Service-Ker Chaumuhani-Shankar Chaumuhani-Barjala-Maylakhala via MBBI Airport; and GB-ILS-SDO Chaumuhani-Nandannagar-Banikya Chaumuhani-Khayerpur.

 

On December 21, the 72nd North Eastern Council Plenary will be held at Prajna Bhavan, followed by a state dinner at the Tripura State Museum, Ujjayanta Palace. Therefore, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the roads. The restricted areas include: Goyalabasti towards Hotel Polo Tower, from Murtipranan towards Hotel Polo Tower, from behind the old Raj Bhavan towards Murtipranan, Bardzala towards Bholagiri crossing, and Haradhan Sangha towards Uttar Gate.
