Agartala: Dec 12: Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury visited the battleship structure located on Jampui Hill in North Tripura district, accompanied by officials from the Tourism Department.
After visiting the battleship structure, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury stated that the ‘Eden Tourist Lodge’ on this hill is visited by tourists every day. Discussions were held with Tourism Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma and the Kanchanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate on how to modernize and enhance the quality of the lodge for the convenience of tourists from various parts of the country. He further mentioned that instructions have been given for its rapid implementation.
The Minister also noted that various places, including Mizoram, can be clearly seen from the battleship. He emphasized that the battleship is a tourist destination and efforts will be made to make it more attractive to tourists. He has examined what more can be done to develop the battleship and will take necessary steps in the future after discussing with the department officials.
