Agartala: Nov 19: After meeting with central BJP leaders in Delhi, Patala Kanya Jamatia, founder of the Tripura People’s Socialist Party, returned to the state on a flight Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival at the MBB Airport, Jamatia stood before the media and leveled explosive allegations against the BJP. She claimed that the BJP in Tripura is attempting to turn into a “Bangladeshi BJP.”
Jamatia further clarified that although rumors were spread on social media claiming she had been expelled from the BJP, she had never received an official expulsion letter. She demanded an official expulsion letter from the party, questioning why the BJP, which claims to dream of India’s development, has not been able to deliver such a letter, even requiring “bullet trains” to do so. She rejected the claim of her expulsion and labeled Tripura BJP as a “living corpse” that could neither expel her officially nor even apologize.
She also called for the expulsion of the state BJP’s General Secretary and President, who she accused of staging a drama regarding her expulsion. She criticized the BJP for saying one thing and doing another, pointing out that their actions do not align with their words. According to her, while BJP leaders claim to make Tripura the best state, they are instead corrupting it with their actions.
Jamatia also raised the issue of illegal immigration, asking why Tripura’s Chief Minister is silent on this matter when Assam’s Chief Minister has spoken out against it. Additionally, she accused MP from East Tripura of contesting elections using fake ST certificates.
Regarding her role as the chairperson of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Jamatia said she had been serving without salary, alleging that some BJP leaders were trying to destroy the party with a “Bangladeshi mindset.” She also criticized the Chief Minister’s office for not responding to any of the files she had sent, despite repeated follow-ups. Jamatia asserted that she does not do politics for positions or money.
