Agartala: Nov 07: The overall development of Tripura remains the top priority for the current ruling party, and the state government has been focusing on balancing urban and rural development. A significant step towards fulfilling this goal is the construction of a TSR (Tripura State Rifles) 15 Battalion camp in Kanchanbari, located within the Fatikroy assembly constituency. This initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to address the long-standing demands of the people in rural areas, shifting focus from urban-centric development to rural upliftment.
Today, Minister of Animal Husbandry and Fatikroy MLA, Sudhanshu Das, along with key officials, conducted an inspection of the proposed land for the TSR 15 Battalion camp in West Kanchanbari. The inspection involved the presence of the Inspector General of Police, IPS Shri Kerry Marar, district and sub-divisional officials, as well as the head of the forest department. Minister Sudhanshu Das provided an update on the ongoing land acquisition process, which has been underway for the past six months. The final review of the land was conducted today, and the necessary inspections were carried out by the officials involved.
The Chief Minister, Professor Dr. Manik Saha, is expected to lay the foundation stone for the TSR 15 Battalion camp in the near future. This development will bring several benefits to the people of Fatikroy and Kanchanbari, including enhanced security and a boost to local businesses. The stationing of jawans at the camp will create a demand for local goods, benefiting the markets in Kanchanbari and surrounding areas.
Minister Sudhanshu Das assured that the state government will continue to prioritize such developmental projects in the future, further strengthening the infrastructure and welfare of rural Tripura. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving the lives of people across both urban and rural regions of the state.
