Agartala: Sept 27: The Tripura government has announced a new initiative to provide essential food items to its citizens. As part of this initiative, the government will distribute 500 grams of semolina, 2 kilograms of flour, and 1 kilogram of sugar free of cost to approximately 9.84 lakh families across the state. This decision was made during a cabinet meeting held yesterday and was officially announced today by the Food Minister, Sushant Chowdhury, at a press conference.

In addition, the minister stated that all ration card holders in the municipal corporation areas, whose cards have been e-KYC verified, will receive PVC ration cards by December.
