NCC Police Arrest Nine Individuals with Stolen Goods

Agartala: Sept 11: The NCC police station has arrested nine individuals in connection with a series of thefts. According to Sushant Dev, the officer-in-charge of the NCC police station, a complaint was filed by Deepak Sarkar from the Kunjaban area, stating that on September 5th, thieves had stolen a cooking gas cylinder, gold ornaments, and other items from his house.

Upon examining CCTV footage from Deepak Sarkar’s house, several suspects were identified. Additional complaints were filed regarding the theft of temple bells and other items from the Assam Rifles temple and the Kumaritila Kali temple, as well as the theft of batteries from the Khejurbagan area. Following an investigation, the police arrested nine individuals.

Recovered items include a steel water tank, three temple bells, batteries, a cooking gas cylinder, a gold chain, a pair of earrings, and a bicycle. Among the arrested is a shopkeeper named Rakhesh Sarkar, who allegedly purchased stolen goods. On Wednesday, the NCC police produced the arrested individuals in court.
