Agartala: The Tripura BJP has strongly condemned attempts by certain political parties to spread misinformation regarding the Ranirbazar incident, claiming that there is no culture of demolishing temples and mosques in the state.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Amit Rakshit, the state general secretary of the BJP, stated that while such incidents might occur in neighboring states, the people of Tripura live in harmony and brotherhood. He urged opposition parties to refrain from such cheap politics.
During the press conference held at the state BJP office, Rakshit further stated that the party is aware of the attempts to spread conspiracy theories and urged the opposition to desist from such actions.
Meanwhile, Subrata Chakraborty, the chief spokesperson of the Tripura BJP, announced the names of the newly appointed district presidents and vice-presidents of eight district councils in the state. He extended his greetings and congratulations on behalf of the state BJP. Additionally, the names of the newly appointed chairpersons of 34 out of 35 Panchayat Samitis in the state were also announced.
