Agartala: July 18: Amidst thousands of allegations of political party terror in panchayat elections, courtesy has been found in the Kankravan Assembly. Today, BJP workers felicitated Congress workers including MLA Sudip Roy Barman with roses.

On this day, Jitendra Majumder, MLA of Kankarban-Shalgarh constituency, said that the BJP government believes in democracy. The election will be by popular vote. Kankarban Assembly seeks peaceful elections. For the last four days, the opposition candidates submitted their nominations irrespective of the party affiliation.

 

On this day, he also said that the Kankarban assembly is trying to set a precedent in the panchayat elections. He is hopeful that the BJP government will reap the benefits of the developmental work done for the people in the last six years. People will raise their hands and vote for BJP nominated candidates.
