Political tension: Attack on CPM and Congress procession, several Congress workers including Sudip injured

Agartala: July 18: Political tension continues around the panchayat elections in Tripura. Several workers, including CPM and Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, were attacked by the ruling party miscreants in Dukli and Tepania blocks today while filing their nomination papers. Such is the complaint of CPM and Congress workers. Bricks were thrown at them in front of the police. Congress MLAs and several workers were seriously injured.

CPM nominees and workers supporters were going to march in Dukli Block today to submit their nomination papers. But as soon as they came to the middle of the road, hundreds of miscreants of the ruling party BJP gathered. They organized attacks on the workers in front of the police.

On the other hand, Congress nominees and workers’ supporters were going to submit their nomination papers by marching in the presence of MLA Sudip Roy Barman in Tepania Block. But the miscreants of the ruling party BJP attacked them in front of the police. They organized attacks on the workers in front of the police. Bricks were being thrown in front of the police. Several Congress workers including MLA Sudip Roy Barman were injured. In that incident, there is intense tension in the entire area.
