Agartala: July 06: CM Dr. Manik Saha Joins a Massive Tree Plantation Drive Inspired by PM Modi’s CampaignInspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Ek Per (One Tree), Ma Ke Naam” campaign, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha actively participated in the state-wide programme organised by the Forest Department to plant 5 lakh saplings in just 5 minutes on Friday. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance green cover and promote environmental awareness among the citizens of Tripura.The main event took place at Taranagar in Mohanpur, where the Chief Minister, along with other dignitaries, spearheaded the plantation drive. Sri Ratanlal Nath, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Sri Animesh Debbarma, MDC ADC, were also present, lending their support to this significant environmental effort. The presence of these prominent leaders underscored the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges.During the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha distributed saplings among the local residents, encouraging them to participate actively in the campaign. The distribution of saplings not only symbolised the state’s commitment to environmental conservation but also empowered the community to take direct action in preserving their surroundings.
