Tripura Government Aims to Boost Tourism Sector with Strategic Approach

Agartala:  June 29: The Tripura government is committed to elevating the state’s tourism sector through a mission-oriented approach. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury emphasized this during a review meeting held at the Secretariat’s conference hall.

Minister Chowdhury stressed the need to think creatively and devise unconventional plans to propel Tripura’s tourism to new heights. By developing tourist destinations, each attractive area can become self-reliant, serving as a model for generating its own revenue. Detailed discussions covered all aspects related to tourism development and ongoing projects. The government aims to transform the tourism sector through strategic planning.

Tripura boasts immense tourism potential across various domains. Enhancing facilities at attractive tourist centers will attract more visitors and boost associated trade, leading to increased employment opportunities. The government is sincerely working on developing tourism areas. Peripheral villages are now part of the tourism map due to improved infrastructure. Domestic and foreign tourist numbers are on the rise.

Special strategies are needed to attract more tourists to Tripura’s centers. Religious sites can be transformed into new attractions. Civic amenities, digital communication systems, quality hotels, and infrastructure enhancements will drive gradual expansion in the tourism sector. Minister Chowdhury emphasized taking Tripura’s heritage and culture to every corner of the world. Collective efforts are essential to promote and develop the state’s tourism industry.

The vision for Tripura’s tourism industry involves innovation, strategic planning, and renewed vigor.
