Counting of Votes for 18th Lok Sabha and State Assemblies to Commence on June 4

Agartala, June 02: The counting of votes for the 18th Lok Sabha elections and state assemblies of Andhra Pradesh and Odissa, along with assembly by-polls, is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on June 4, according to the Election Commission. The counting process will take place at various centers across the country, including three locations in Sepahijala district, Tripura.

In Sepahijala district, the counting centers for the Bishalgarh, Kamala Sagar, and Charilam assembly constituencies are the Bishalgarh Mahakuma Administrative Office. Additionally, the Jampuijala Sub-Divisional Administrative Office will oversee the counting for Takarjala and Golaghati assembly constituencies. Meanwhile, Sonamura 12th girls’ school will be the venue for counting in four assembly constituencies: 20 Boxanagar, 21 Nalchhar, 22 Sonamura, and 23 Dhanpur.

A robust three-tiered security system has been put in place to ensure the integrity of the counting process. Supporters of both ruling and opposition parties will gather in separate areas designated for them.

District Superintendent of Police DJ Reddy emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order during the vote counting process. He called upon leaders from all political parties to collaborate in ensuring a smooth and accurate counting process, free from any untoward incidents.
