Agartala: May 10: In a commendable joint initiative, students from various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and National Service Scheme (NSS) units in Dharmanagar subdivision have taken up the task of providing relief from thirst during the scorching heat. Students representing schools and colleges have pledged to shoulder the responsibility of offering thirst relief for an entire month. While the situation remains challenging, their commitment to quenching the public’s thirst—even if only temporarily—serves as a beacon of hope.

Additionally, these dedicated student volunteers are going beyond their duty by providing drinking water infused with glucose to the hardworking policemen and traffic personnel. These frontline workers tirelessly perform their duties under the relentless sun, and this thoughtful gesture provides them some respite from the heat.

Sristi Das, a college student associated with a non-governmental social organization, emphasized that all NGOs and NSS units in Dharmanagar are actively participating in the thirst relief efforts. Their collective endeavor ensures that thirst relief reaches different areas of Dharmanagar town, benefiting both residents and those safeguarding our security.
