Agartala: April 11: In an effort to enhance voter awareness, the Election Commission has launched several programs. One such program, organized by the West District Governor’s office, specifically targets increasing awareness among voters in Alpana. The primary objective is to attract new voters to polling booths.
Artists from the state play a crucial role in this initiative. Approximately 50 artists are actively engaged in encouraging new voters to participate in both the Lok Sabha elections and the Ramnagar by-elections. Their creative efforts aim to inspire citizens to exercise their right to vote.
At a recent event attended by Chief Election Commissioner Puneet Agarwal, the commission highlighted its commitment to conducting free and peaceful elections in the state. Notably, house-to-house polling for voters aged 85 years and above has already commenced. Agarwal assured swift resolution of any election-related complaints and urged all citizens to actively participate in the democratic process by casting their votes.
