8752 cases settled in National Lok Adalat in Tripura, Rs.2,71,67,827 collected

Agartala, December 9: 8752 cases were disposed of in Tripura National Lok Adalat today Saturday. Rs 2 crore 71 lakh 67 thousand 827 has been collected. Incidentally, the fourth National Lok Adalat of this year was held in Tripura today.

J Datta Chowdhury, the new secretary of Tripura State Law Service Commission, said that 16,988 cases were taken up for settlement in 67 benches in this people’s court. Among them, there were 11761 cases related to previous disputes. Besides, 5227 pending cases in the court have been taken up for settlement.

On this day he also informed that a bench was constituted in Tripura High Court on the occasion of National Lok Adalat. Altogether 67 benches were constituted across the state. 8752 cases have been disposed of. Out of this, 8122 cases related to previous disputes and 630 pending cases were in court. He said that on this day Rs 2 crore 71 lakh 67 thousand 827 was collected in the people’s court.
