A forensic team and a dog squad were subsequently called in to assist with the inquiry. Eyewitnesses alleged that Kajal Das may have been murdered by his son, Agrijit Das, over an ongoing dispute related to land and money. Acting on these allegations, police arrested Agrijit for questioning. While officials refrained from making detailed comments due to the ongoing investigation, they noted visible injury marks on Kajal’s head and other areas, leading them to initially suspect foul play.

The police have commenced interrogations of the accused as part of their investigation. This incident has raised serious concerns within the community, highlighting the tragic implications of familial disputes over property and finances.
