Agartala, August 12: CPM, Congress and Tipra Matha have called to fight together against BJP in the by-elections. Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha said at the end of the meeting of three parties today.

As the days progress, the mercury in the by-elections to the two assembly constituencies in the state is rising. Ahead of this election, preparations are going on in full swing among the political parties. All the political parties have already entered the field. Phased meetings are being held around the by-elections.

 

The three opposition parties met in a closed-door meeting today to defeat the ruling party BJP. At the end of the meeting, Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha said that in today’s meeting, the leaders of CPM, Congress and Tipra Matha agreed to fight against the BJP in unison. The main goal is to defeat the ruling party in the by-elections. The Congress party will hold an organizational meeting in Sonamura tomorrow to discuss this issue in detail at the party level.

MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, Leader of Opposition Animesh Debbarma, MLA Jitendra Chowdhury, MLA Gopal Chandra Nath and former Minister Manik Dev were present in the meeting.
