This announcement was made by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Santana Chakma, at a press conference held in the conference hall of the Department of Industries and Commerce on Wednesday. The minister stated that, similar to previous years, this year’s fair will also showcase modern technology. Various technical institutions and organizations in Tripura will present modern technologies such as startups, drone technology, electric vehicles, and automated machines.

Participants will include government departments, PSUs, private organizations, local entrepreneurs, and businessmen. International and national renowned members will also be able to showcase and sell their products. Exhibits will include handicrafts, garments, jewelry, furniture, electrical equipment, automobiles, agricultural and horticultural products, and food items. Special emphasis has been given to local businesses in this year’s fair. Last year, 269 businessmen participated in the fair. This year, 515 businessmen have been given the opportunity to participate.

The minister also informed that the “Destination Tripura: Business Conclave” will be held on February 7th and 8th at the Agartala Hotel Polo Tower. More than 150 investors from both the state and outside will participate. This event will create a platform to showcase the investment potential in the state, specifically focusing on sectors like tourism, information technology, education, and healthcare. The goal of this conclave is to position Tripura as a major investment destination in North East India and contribute to overall development and integration with the national economy.

Also present at the press conference were Nabadal Barik from the Department of Industries and Commerce, and Kiran Gitte, an officer of the department, among others.
